Hafnarborg invites primary school children to participate in fun and creative workshops during Winter Break on October 14th and 15th, in connection with the exhibition Community of Sentient Being, currently on view at the museum. The workshops will explore different activities, so children are welcome to attend either or both days.
Collage Workshop
Thursday October 14th at 1-3 p.m.
We will create collages and pop-up books, bringing different beings to life on the page, the space that they inhabit. Instructor is Þórdís Jóhannesdóttir, visual artist.
Beings Workshop
Friday October 15th at 1-3 p.m.
We will work with clay to shape small beings that sense the world differently than us humans, perhaps creating a home for them as well. Instructor is Karólína Einarsdóttir, visual arts teacher.
The workshops will take place on the ground floor of the museum and children may attend with parents or guardians. As always, participation in workshops and entrance to the museum‘s exhibitions is free of charge.
