Sunday April 30th at 2 p.m., curator Daría Sól Andrews will lead guests on a walkthrough of the exhibition Uncanny Virtuality, focusing on digital art, photography, the moving image, realism, and hyperreality.
The exhibition presents works by six artists, working both in Iceland and internationally, exploring themes of reality and virtuality. In these works, they comment on the disconnection, anxiety and irony that is unique to our current generation within a new-media world. Through a digital expression, they then find satire in many of the stresses of the 21st century.
The participating artists are Kristín Helga Ríkharðsdóttir, Meriem Bennani, María Guðjohnsen, Bita Razavi, Helena Margrét Jónsdóttir and Inari Sandell.
Free entry – everyone welcome.
