Wednesday November 12th at 5-7 p.m., as the exhibition Lightning draws to a close, we invite guests to meet the artist himself, Þórir Gunnarsson, also known as Listapúkinn. Þórir, who has been named the featured artist of the Art Without Borders 2025, will be present at his solo exhibition in Hafnarborg, bringing along his art materials for a live drawing session, where he will create spontaneous portraits of visitors in his own unique and imaginative style. This interactive event will form a lively dialogue between artist, artwork and audience, as each line springs directly from the moment itself.
In this exhibition, Þórir invites the viewer into a world that is both deeply personal and full of playful energy. Þórir draws inspiration from his surroundings – from bus rides, nature, or his runs – and his interest in the rhythms of human life and sports is expressed in the vitality of his work. He works primarily with drawing and watercolour, where observation and experience merge, with layers of material and ideas combining to create a new reality.
At this closing event, visitors will also have the chance to talk with Þórir about his art, the creative process behind his works and what sparks his ideas. It’s the perfect opportunity to delve deeper into the world of the exhibition and get to know the artist and his creative journey. Join us for coffee and kleinur, in a warm and creative atmosphere.
