Saturday April 20th at 2 p.m., goldsmith Marta Staworowska will lead a guided tour of the exhibition jewellery:object, currently on view at the museum. Marta is among the participants of the exhibition, which presents pieces made by a group of nine goldsmiths, jewellers and artists focused on personal adornment, reflecting the varied approaches, techniques and topics of modern jewellery-making in Iceland.
Alongside Marta, the participating artists are Anna María Pitt, Arna Gná, Ágústa Arnardóttir, James Merry, Hildur Ýr Jónsdóttir, Helga Mogensen, Katla Karlsdóttir and Orr. Curated by Brynhildur Pálsdóttir, the exhibition is part of the programme of DesignMarch 2024.
Marta Staworowska (b. 1985) is a trained landscape architect, art historian and goldsmith. Before moving to Iceland six years ago, she worked for the Polish army, being stationed in Afghanistan. She graduated earlier this year as a goldsmith from the Technical College Reykjavík and currently works at Aurum as a goldsmith.
In My Language is an event programme focused on making Hafnarborg more accessible to people of different backgrounds by welcoming guests to the museum in various languages. The programme is supported by the Museum Fund.

W moim języku: biżuteria:obiekt – oprowadzanie w języku polskim
W sobotę, 20 kwietnia, o godzinie 14:00, złotniczka Marta Staworowska oprowadzi po wystawie biżuteria:obiekt w muzeum Hafnarborg. Marta jest jedną z uczestniczek wystawy, na której prezentowane są dzieła wykonane przez grupę dziewięciu złotników, jubilerów i artystów specjalizujących się w dziedzinie złotnictwa. Wystawa odzwierciedla zróżnicowane podejścia, techniki i współczesne tematy tworzenia biżuterii na Islandii.
Obok Marty, uczestnikami są Anna María Pitt, Arna Gná, Ágústa Arnardóttir, James Merry, Hildur Ýr Jónsdóttir, Helga Mogensen, Katla Karlsdóttir i Orr. Kuratorką wystawy, która jest częścią programu HönnunarMars 2024, jest Brynhildur Pálsdóttir.
Marta Staworowska (ur. 1985) z wykształcenia jest architektką krajobrazu, historyczką sztuki i złotniczką. Przed przeprowadzką na Islandię sześć lat temu, pracowała dla Wojska Polskiego i stacjonowała w Afganistanie. W tym roku ukończyła studium złotnicze w Tækniskóli w Reykjaviku i pracuje jako złotniczka w firmie Aurum.
W moim języku to program wydarzeń kulturalnych, który ma na celu uczynienie Hafnarborg bardziej dostępnym miejscem dla ludzi z różnych środowisk poprzez witanie gości w muzeum w różnych językach. Program jest wspierany przez Fundusz Muzealny.
