March 8th. at 3 p.m. designer David Taylor will talk to guests about his work and his exhibition Gray Area, now on display at Hafnarborg’s Sverris-gallery.
David Taylor is a Scottish designer based in Sweden. He graduated from Konstfack, Sweden’s leading design school, with a masters degree in 1999. Combining his silversmithing skills with an irreverent approach and a broad material pallet has propelled is work onto the international scene. From public space art to cutlery design, singulars, multiples and mass production. He works in a grey area, somewhere in the vicinity of art and very close to design which he chooses to call contemporary craft.
