Hafnarborg invites primary school children to participate in fun and creative workshops during the upcoming Winter Break. The workshops will explore different activities, so children are welcome to attend either or both days.
Emotions of Colour
Monday February 21st at 1-3 p.m.
A special learning exhibition, Stirring Emotions, is currently on view in the Old Pharmacy in Hafnarborg. Working with a range of methods, we will create vivid images, focusing on the emotions of colour. We welcome everyone interested to attend.
Cut, Paste, Colour
Tuesday February 22nd at 1-3 p.m.
Creating collages, we will take our works even further through the added use of drawing/painting. The workshop is inspired by an exhibition of works by Þorvaldur Þorsteinsson, who was fascinated by collages, often working with them in his own artistic practice. Collages are also a great way to develop one’s own artistic ideas, providing endless possibilities for creativity.
The workshops will take place on the ground floor of the museum and children may attend with parents or guardians. As always, participation in workshops and entrance to the museum‘s exhibitions is free of charge.
