Friday March 8th at 6 p.m., a quartet led by Danish drummer Ulrik Bisgaard and Icelandic saxophonist Ólafur Jónsson will perform at the next Afternoon Concert at Hafnarborg, but the two have played together at numerous concerts in Denmark in recent years.
Joining them will be Eyþór Gunnarsson, pianist, and Þorgrímur Jónsson, bassist. The programme consists of original music as well as new renditions of Icelandic and Danish folk songs.
The concert lasts for approximately one hour and admission is free.
The concert series is supported by the town of Hafnarfjörður, the Rannís Music Fund and the FÍH Culture Fund.
