
Wednesday June 3rd at 8 p.m., Jónatan Garðarsson will lead the first culture walk of the summer, through the town centre of Hafnarfjörður. The walk will focus on the strong connection between music and town life. Topics will include Friðrik Bjarnason, the Hafnarborg Songfest, church music traditions, Vinaminni, youth dances, Skiphóll, Skútan, Hjarta Hafnarfjarðar and much more.
The walk will begin at Hafnarborg.
The town of Hafnarfjörður offers a programme of special health and culture walks every Wednesday evening through the summer. The walks usually last for one hour, starting at 8 p.m., unless otherwise stated. The walks are a collaborative project by Hafnarborg, The Hafnarfjörður Museum, The Hafnarfjörður Library and The Health Town Hafnarfjörður. Participation is free of charge and everyone is welcome. The event is in Icelandic.
