Saturday September 19th at 3-5 p.m., we celebrate the publication of the book Bjarmaband: Frosti Fjalar at Hafnarborg. Published in connection with the exhibition of the same name, the book presents a selection of works by Frosti Fjalar alongside photographs and texts that shed light on his art and career. Guests will also have an opportunity to visit the exhibition and explore the book in more detail.

In Frosti’s work, geometric forms, vertical and horizontal lines, fields of colour and texture come together to create the distinctive visual world of this remarkable artist. The works bear witness to an exploration of form, colour and material that characterised his artistic practice over several decades.

The book is published by Ásdís Spanó and Kristín Ásta Kristinsdóttir. Texts are by Ásdís Spanó, Kristín Ásta Kristinsdóttir and Aðalsteinn Ingólfsson, with photographs by Kristín Ásta Kristinsdóttir. The book is designed by Helga Gerður Magnúsdóttir. The publication is supported by the Icelandic Visual Arts Fund and Hafnarborg.

The book will be available at a special price for the occasion.
