An award winning play is on view in one of Hafnarborg’s galleries all sundays at 1 and 3 p.m.
The play is produced in cooperation with the Catherine Wheels theater in Scotland, Góða Gesti (Good Guests), the town of Hafnarfjörður, the misistry of education and culture and Hafnarborg. WHITE’S director is Gunnar Helgason and the actors are María Pálsdóttir and Virginia Gillard.
The audience are invited to a place where everything is white. This is a world that glitters, sparkles and shines at night and is full of bird-singing and bird houses. The world is bright, organized and white, but up in the trees the colors appear one by one. First red… then yellow… then blue.
WHITE is a playful and visual show for young children from 2 – 5 years old and is a perfect first experience of the theater. The show, that comes from the Catherine Wheels theater group in Scotland, has recieved a number of rewards and has been shown world wide.
After each show, Hafnarborg will offer guests to take a unique tour of Fields of Lava, an exhibition with the works of the painter Kristbergur Pétursson, where the children can discover hidden images and colors that hide in the dark paintings.
WHITE is shown all sundays at 1 and 3 p.m. Ticket and informations are in telephone: 565 5900 and on midi.is. Ticket sales are open weekdays between 1 and 6 p.m. in the Gaflara Theater and one hour before each show in Hafnarborg.
