Sunday February 17th at 2 p.m., Experimental Music Ensemble Skerpla and Berglind María Tómasdóttir will perform the music of visual artist Jón Gunnar Árnason and composers Atli Heimir Sveinsson and James Saunders at special concert, in relation to Phonemes – Exhibiting Music.
Founded in 2018, Skerpla is the experimental music ensemble of the Iceland University of the Arts. Skerpla explores, creates and performs experimental music, expanding preconceived ideas on what music is and can be or music in which the act is – sometimes – known and the outcome is – often – unknown.
The leader of Skerpla is Berglind María Tómasdóttir, associate professor at the Iceland University of the Arts.
Admission is free.
