Saturday April 13th at 1-3 p.m., we invite children and their families to attend a jewellery workshop led by designers Helga Mogensen and Hildur Ýr Jónsdóttir who will give guests an insight into the process of making jewellery. They are among the participants in the exhibition jewellery:object, currently on view at the museum, but the exhibition reflects the varied approaches, techniques and topics of modern jewellery-making in Iceland. In the workshop, participants will then get a chance to make their own piece of jewellery, structuring a sculpture for the body. All materials provided.
The workshop will take place on the ground floor of the museum and we ask that children attend accompanied by parent(s) or guardian(s). As always, participation in workshops and entrance to the museum’s exhibitions is free of charge. Everyone welcome.
The exhibition and related events are part of the programme of DesignMarch 2024.
