Saturday March 2nd at 1-3 p.m., artist and curator Iryna Kamienieva will lead a family workshop in Ukrainian at Hafnarborg. At the workshop, children and adults will get an opportunity to make colourful and fun sculptures out of various materials. Participants will also have a chance to scope out the museum’s exhibitions in search of inspiration for their own artistic creations.
Iryna Kamienieva is an artist and a curator from Ukraine. She has been living in Iceland since 2022, where she has both been working in the sphere of art and refugee reception.
In My Language is an event programme focused on making Hafnarborg more accessible to people of different backgrounds by welcoming guests to the museum in various languages. The event is a collaboration between Hafnarborg and GETA – Aid Organisation. The programme is supported by the Museum Fund.
