Sunday August 9th at 2 p.m. Claudia Hausfeld and Pétur Thomsen will have a talk with museum guests and discuss their work in the exhibition No Site now on display at Hafnarborg’s main gallery. The talk will be in Icelandic.
Note that the exhibition No Site will close earlier that day, at 4 p.m. due to a 90-year birthday reception in the museum for the Icelandic painter Eiríkur Smith (b. 1925). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
The exhibition No site is an exhibition of the works of eight artists living in Iceland who are turning their gaze towards Icelandic nature. Björn Árnason, Claudia Hausfeld, Daniel Reuter, Edda Fransisca Kjarval, Ingvar Högni Ragnarsson, Katrín Elvarsdóttir, Pétur Thomsen and Stuart Richardson all work with photography as a medium. The works are all made in the timespan 2008 – 2015.
The curators are Áslaug Íris Friðjónsdóttir and Unnur Mjöll S. Leifsdóttir.
