Friday September 1st at 6 p.m., we invite you to the first Afternoon Concert of the season at Hafnarborg. At the concert, singer Kjalar Martinsson Kollmar will perform with a band, namely Alexandra Rós Norðkvist on drums, Hlynur Sævarsson playing the bass and Andrés Þór on guitar.
Recently, Kjalar made a name for himself as a singer when he participated in Idol stjörnuleit, the Icelandic version of Pop Idol, and Söngvakeppni sjónvarpsins, the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, but in Hafnarborg he will show a different side to his artistry as he will perform a varied programme of jazz standards and jazz-influenced music.
The concert lasts for approximately one hour and admission is free.
The concert series is supported by the town of Hafnarfjörður and the Rannís Music Fund.
