Afternoon Concert – Anna Gréta Trio

Friday March 27th at 6 p.m., pianist, singer and composer Anna Gréta will perform with her trio at the next Afternoon Concert at Hafnarborg. She will be joined by Þorgrímur Jónsson on double bass and Einar Scheving on drums.

Anna Gréta has been based in Sweden in recent years and, since being named Newcomer of the Year at the Icelandic Music Awards in 2015, has received numerous awards and nominations both in Iceland and abroad. Following the release of two albums on the prestigious jazz label ACT Music – Nightjar in the Northern Sky (2021) and Star of Spring (2024) – she has established herself among the leading jazz musicians in the Nordic region. Both albums received critical acclaim worldwide and her music has been streamed over three million times across various platforms.

In Sweden, Anna Gréta has received several awards for her performance, including the Monica Zetterlund Award and the Ystad Jazz Piano Award and has been named one of the most in-demand jazz pianists in Stockholm.

The concert lasts for approximately one hour and admission is free.

The concert series is supported by the town of Hafnarfjörður and the FÍH Culture Fund.
